You might ask “What is a WordPress Child Theme and why do I need one?” They allow you to make changes to a template theme and keep those changes even when the theme gets updated. For example, if you decide to change some PHP or CSS in your template theme’s “header.php” file, you’ll lose all your data with the next update. Unless you use a Child Theme.
I had the privilege of designing and launching the marketing and communications plan for the Water Cooler Gossip blog, a resurrected project made possible by the McMaster University Student Success Centre (SSC). It was a lot of fun. I was responsible for making the communications plan, plotting out goals and objectives, and setting the budget, responsibilities, timelines, and checkpoints.
So I’ve come to the realization that I actually know things that other people don’t. Weird, right? I mean, I know that I know, but how could I know someone else doesn’t know, unless I already know? Well, if they tell me then I will.
